The Corporation shall have two classes of members.  The designation of the classes shall be Voting and Affiliate.  The qualifications for each class shall be as follows:

(a) Voting Members:  Voting Membership shall be open to Florida based nonprofit organizations actively engaged in the community development field. In order to qualify as a voting member an organization must meet the following criteria and shall be:

i. incorporated in the state of Florida;
ii. a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization in good standing;
iii. committed to serving specific cohesive geographic areas or constituencies and whose mission is to benefit low to moderate income persons by advancing community prosperity;
iv. involve the constituents, including low to moderate income persons, in defining needs, setting priorities and allocating resources; and
v. current in their payment of membership dues to the Corporation and in compliance with the values of the Corporation

A voting member organization must designate one representative and an alternate to vote on behalf of the member on all matters pertaining to the affairs of the Corporation for which membership is allowed by law, the Articles of Incorporation, or these By-laws.  Each voting member shall have one vote and must be present.

(b)   Affiliate Members:  Any individual or organization that supports the goals of the community development field may apply to be recognized by the Corporation as an Affiliate Member.  Affiliate Members may attend and participate in Corporation meetings but shall not have voting rights.
